Post Office Closing Petition

Post Offices are scheduled to close in Chicago, most of the are on the West Side of Chicago. These happen to be 5 with prominent names of African Americans name by Congressman Danny K. Davis. If we allow services to stop this will effect our seniors, the handicapped, small business and the community will suffer with having to go out of their communities to areas that they are unfamiliar with. Jobs will be cut for its workers nationally. Poor services nationally.

Those local sites under review include 12 in Chicago -- Ashburn, Englewood, Finance Station U, Ogden Park, Otis Grant Collins, Chinatown Postal Store, Haymarket Postal Store, Mary Alice Henry, Nancy B. Jefferson, Rev. Milton R. Brunson Station, and Robert Leflor Jr -- and two in the suburbs -- La Grange Park and Riverdale.

Please support the West Side Historical Society in expressing your displeasure with the closing . 5 Post offices on the west side are considered historical landmarks to the African American community.
Of these are; Otis Grant Collins,Mary Alice Henry, Nancy B. Jefferson, Rev. Milton R. Brunson Station, and Robert Leflor Jr .
